Nizamabad:Vehicular traffic on the Karimnagar–Kamareddy–Yellareddy (KKY) state highway was disrupted on Friday when a large tree fell onto the road.
Heavy rains caused the tree, located near an old-age home in Ugravai village, to collapse onto the highway, halting traffic between Sircilla and Kamareddy for a 2-km stretch in both directions.
Police rushed to the scene and worked to clear the roadway. The past two days have seen heavy rainfall across Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.
