Teaser shows 360-degree camera

The only new detail seen in the teaser is a 360-degree camera. The images also show the grille, dual-tone alloy wheels, a headlight and the Citroen logo on the nose as well as on the tailgate – all of which are the same as the current top-spec C3 Shine variant. The teaser ends with an X motif, hinting at the name of this new trim.

Spy shots of the Aircross X online show new upholstery and redesigned air con vents
While the teasers show nothing of the C3 X’s interior, spy shots of the Aircross X on test show that the SUV sports new, brown seat upholstery and redesigned central and side AC vents. The C3 X and Basalt X trims are likely to have similar, rather minor changes. Citroen India had announced design and feature upgrades for the C3, Basalt and Aircross just last week.
Citroen C3 X engine and gearbox
1.2-litre petrol and turbo-petrol engines likely to be offered
All three models share the same two engine options – an 82hp 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 120hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol. The former is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the more powerful engine has 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options.
Citroen C3 X price estimate
Expected to be priced above C3 Shine and Dark Edition variants
Considering that the C3 X will top the hatchback’s range, its prices will be higher than those of the current top-spec Shine trim, which costs between Rs 8.16 lakh and Rs 10.15 lakh. In fact, taking the new features into account, the C3 X version is expected to be priced higher than even the Dark Edition variantswhich cost Rs 8.38 lakh-10.19 lakh.
