In addition, the price of the entry-level C3 Live has been slashed by Rs 98,000, while the Feel variant now costs a whopping Rs 1.29 lakh less. Meanwhile, the Shine trim, now renamed as X Shine, also see a Rs 25,000 price cut, but get a few additional features.
It should be noted that a dealer-fit CNG kit is available with all four variants that come with the 82hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, for a Rs 93,000 premium. The 110hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which comes with manual and automatic gearbox options, is exclusive to the C3 X Shine.
At this new Rs 5.25 lakh price point, the C3 is among the most affordable cars on sale in India, at least for the introductory period. Rivals of the C3, like the Maruti Fire (starting at Rs 5.85 lakh), Tata Punch (Rs 6 lakh onwards) and Hyundai Exter (Rs 6 lakh onwards), are currently priced higher.
