The all-electric World Atto 2 Suv was recently spotted on test in India. The midsize SUV, revealed earlier this year and already on sale in countries like the UK and Singapore, will rival the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara if launched here.
- BYD Atto 2 is sold with 51.1kWh and 45.1kWh battery pack options abroad
- Features include a 12.8-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, ADAS
- Atto 2’s design patent was filed in India last year
BYD Atto 2 spy shots explained
Has an Atto 3 SUV-like silhouette
Most of the Atto 2 test mule’s exterior is wrapped in camouflage, hiding key exterior details. However, the distinctive headlights, daytime running lamps and tail-lights are partially visible; dual-tone alloy wheels, likely 17 inches, are fully exposed.
In terms of dimensions, the Atto 2 is 4,310mm long, 1,830mm wide and 1,675mm tall, while the wheelbase measures 2,620mm. Apart from having a silhouette similar to the larger Act 3it also borrows a lot of design bits like connected tail-lights and body cladding.

BYD Atto 2 price and launch expectations
Rs 20 lakh-25 lakh expected price
Interestingly, BYD India filed a design patent for the Atto 2 in May 2024. Rajeev Chauhan, head of BYD’s electric passenger vehicle business division, earlier confirmed that a new SUV priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh is planned by the second half of 2025, and the Atto 2 appears to be a strong contender.
