BYD India, a subsidiary of chinese EV maker, on Monday announced that it has delivered its 10,000th electric vehicle in the country.
The company said the achievement reflects growing consumer confidence in EVs and reinforces its commitment to India’s sustainable mobility goals. In India, BYD has built a network of 44 dealerships, nationwide roadside assistance, and extended warranty programmes to support customers. It has also partnered with Relux Electric to provide convenient charging solutions.
Globally, BYD has sold over 13 million NEVs, helping cut more than 106 billion kilograms of carbon emissions as of July 2025 — equivalent to the carbon absorption of 1.77 billion trees. The brand, valued at $14.4 billion, has been ranked among the top 10 most valuable global automotive brands by Kantar BrandZ for three consecutive years.
“Reaching the 10,000-customer milestone in India is a proud achievement that reflects the growing trust and enthusiasm for BYD’s vision of cleaner, greener mobility,” said Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India.
BYD’s India lineup includes the SEALION 7, ATTO 3 eSUV, eMAX 7 eMPV and SEAL, as the company aims to accelerate EV adoption while keeping customers at the centre of its operations.
