Audi is all set to reveal a new TT-inspired sports car concept later today; however, just moments before that, several images of the radical prototype have leaked online, giving us an early look at what to expect. The German marque will be showcasing its much-awaited concept at the Munich motor show (or IAA Mobility 2025) next week.

New Audi TT concept exterior and interior design
Slim headlights, coupe-like roofline.
The rectangular grille with the Audi ring logo at the front looks very similar to that on the third-generation Audi A6 (C6), which is flanked by a pair of slim headlights and large air intakes and hints at the car’s performance-focused billing. The fenders flare out, adding some muscle to the otherwise smooth surfaces, and the bonnet has subtle contours on the edges.
In profile, the Audi concept has a smooth design that’s mostly devoid of body lines; even the door handles aren’t visible. The long bonnet leans heavily towards a grand-tourer-like design, while the two-door coupe’s fastback roofline and a covered rear quarter glass section are reminiscent of the Audi R8. Oversized wheels have an aero-optimised design, and wear low-profile tyres.
The leaked profile shot does show slim tail-lights, but Audi’s official teaser video goes on to reveal individual slats, very similar to the current Q8. When seen from the top, one can also spot fin-like vents towards the back, seen on some rear-engined cars. Horizontal lines on the roof suggest that this could spawn a convertible version (Spyder in Audi speak).
New steering wheel with buttons.
As for its interior, a single image reveals a new steering wheel with buttons and rotary dial controls, likely to switch between drive modes. Metal-finished door handles look inspired by the German Bauhaus art movement, known to have influenced the original TT. Controls on the door, most probably for operating the windows, are present, too.
Minimalist design could be used across Audi’s line-up
Audi TT concept previews a minimalist design language.
Massimo Frascella, chief creative officer at Audi, posted a video of the 2025 TT concept on Instagram with the caption, “StriveForClarity”. The clip says “the legends of yesterday are the blueprint for tomorrow”, while showing the previous TT, the 1991 Avus concept and 1930s Auto Union Grand Prix cars.
This could set the tone for a new minimalist design language that could be rolled out across Audi’s line-up under Frascella’s leadership, our sister publication Autocar UK reported. The publication had earlier stated that the concept will preview an all-new design language for Audi.
