The VF6 is a midsize electric SUV from the Vietnamese brand and slots below the VF7 flagship.
Vietnamese EV brand Vinfast launched its VF6 midsize electric vehicle as one of its debut models in India. It slots below the Vf7 flagship in the carmaker’s portfolio and takes on well-known names like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV. Here’s how the VinFast VF6 compares with the four competitors on price, battery and range, and dimensions.

When it comes to price, the VF6 is positioned on the more affordable side of this group. It starts lower than all its rivals, and even its top-end variant undercuts the base price of the BE 6. The Curvv EV and ZS House are the closest in lower-end pricing but still a bit higher to start with. In short, the Vinfast EV is the entry point in this set, while the Mahindra goes well beyond the rest.

The VF6’s battery is bigger than those of the Creta ElectricCurvv EV (medium range) and MG ZS EV but smaller than the BE 6. Power and torque are also middle of the road: stronger than the Hyundai and Tata SUVs in their medium-range versions, close to the MG, but clearly behind the Mahindra, which delivers a much higher output. Most of these SUVs use front-wheel drive, while the Mahindra stands out with rear-wheel drive, which should give it a different driving feel, too.
BE 6 also charges the quickest
The real standout for the VF6 is how quickly it can recover charge on a DC fast charger, and it’s one of the fastest here, only slightly behind the Mahindra, which makes it more convenient for quick top-ups on the go. Its AC charging details aren’t available. Overall, the VF6 balances out its specs rather than leading in any one area, offering a good range and performance while keeping charging time short.
Vinfast VF6 vs rivals: Dimensions

Frunk (L) | – | 22 | 11.5 | 45 | – |
Overall, the VF6 is the most compact SUV out here. It’s shorter than all its rivals, but where it does better is width and wheelbase – it’s wider than most except the BE6, and its wheelbase is longer than the Creta Electric, CURVV EV and ZS EV, which may lead to a more spacious cabin. Boot capacity is the lowest, and there’s no frunk storage at all, something that all rivals except the ZS EV offer. Ground clearance is average, not the highest in the class but not the lowest either. Note that Vinfast India has raised the ground clearance of the VF6 for India. Overall, the VF6 trades outright size for a more compact footprint.
