Dhanashree Verma faced a lot of flak on social media after her public divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra chahal. The actress, currently on the reality TV show ‘Rise and Fall’, addressed the alimony claims and firmly denied them, reflecting on her four-year-long marriage.
Dhanashree Verma clarifies rumours about her divorce
Verma revisited her separation and addressed circulating rumours. Speaking to host Aditya narayanshe said, “Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining those who don’t even know you?”
Dhanashree Verma reflected on her marriage duration
When asked about the length of their marriage, Dhanashree Verma said, “We were married for four years, we dated 6-7 months before that.”Speaking about the accusations around alimony, Verma added, “Eventually, you get hurt when you see that happening. It was not needed. None of it is true. I felt worse wondering why did he do it? It’s okay, I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in. Now, I don’t think I can date anybody.”
Dhanashree Verma opens up on challenges on the reality show
On the outset, Verma’s journey on ‘Rise and Fall’ has not been easy. Last week, she broke down during a challenge and said, “I have never said anything against anyone on the show, yet I never dragged my personal life on the show. I am told I am getting influenced, but that’s not true; I don’t like this environment.”
