The launch of the refreshed Renault Kwid is expected soon. The Kwid facelift has been spied on India’s roads, and Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director, Renault India mentioned the new Kwid will be part of Renault’s “rethink strategy,” at the recent launch of the Renault Kiger facelift. The current model has been on sale for nearly six years; it was last given a major update in 2019.
- Updated Y-shaped LED DRLs and tail lamps
- Larger infotainment display and new interior design
Exterior Changes
Similar headlights to the upcoming Duster

Renault’s entry-level model will get fresh Y-shaped LED DRLs, similar to the third-generation Renault Duster on sale in international markets and India-bound in 2026. Along with Y-shaped tail lamps, new bumpers and pentagonal halogen headlamps. From its appearance under camouflage, the new Kwid is likely to feature the same design elements as the Dacia Spring EVwhich was launched in Europe last year.

A few tech upgrades and cosmetic changes—such as six airbags—are expected in the refreshed hatchback, along with a bigger infotainment display (likely to be 10 inches), a new steering wheel design, and a new instrument cluster design, as seen in the spy shots. Judging by the image above, the new Kwid can be expected to share the same interior design as its sister model, the Dacia Spring EV.
