JSW MG Motor India on Thursday said it has launched the Windsor Inspire Editiona limited version of the Windsor EV, to mark one year since the model’s introduction in India. The edition was unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his residence in New Delhi.
Only 300 units of the Inspire Edition will be produced. It commemorates the Windsor EV’s milestone of crossing 40,000 units in sales within a year, positioning it as one of the country’s most popular electric vehicles.
“Clean mobility is essential for our environment and offers India the opportunity to lead in sustainable innovation. The Windsor Inspire Edition is a symbol of how inspiration can translate into action and how each step in EV adoption takes us closer to a greener tomorrow,” Gadakri added.
Design and features
The Windsor Inspire Edition is available in a Pearl White and Starry Black dual-tone exterior and features all-black alloy wheels with rose gold detailing. The interiors include Sangria Red and Black leather upholstery, reclining lounge seats, and a skylight glass roof option.
The limited edition is available at a Battery-as-a-Service price of ₹9.99 lakh and ₹16.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for purchase. Bookings are open, with deliveries beginning on October 15.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said the edition celebrates customer trust and the company’s continued investment in electric mobility.
Technology and personalisation options
The Inspire Edition includes new i-SMART features such as the Watch Wellness app, offering wellness content through the car’s infotainment system, and the ‘Book My Service’ function via Jio VR for booking vehicle services.
A special accessory pack is also available with styling elements, themed mats, and illuminated sill plates.
JSW MG Motor India stated that the Windsor Inspire Edition reflects its focus on expanding India’s new energy vehicle portfolio and strengthening local manufacturing through its Halol plant in Gujarat.
