Bollywood star Ranveer Singh sparked excitement among fans when he teased his wife Deepika Padukone‘s next big venture with director Atlee. The actor, who teamed up with the director for a starry ad shoot, dropped hints about his wife’s next big collab – an upcoming Pan-India film that will see her starring alongside Allu Arjun.

Ranveer teased, “I visited the #AA22xA6 sets because my wife is working in it. I’m telling you, Atlee is making something you haven’t seen in Indian cinema.”The film, tentatively titled AA22 x A6, marks the first-ever collaboration for the trio, but it marks Atlee’s reunion with Deepika, after their work together in the box office blockbuster ‘Jawan’. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer saw Deepika in a cameo role. While the director dropped a teaser video about his new film, much about the plot and its characters remains under wraps.

Besides Allu Arjun and DP, the film’s cast also includes Janhvi KapoorMrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is also said to star Yogi Babu and Ramya Krishnan.
Ranveer on his collab with Atlee
At the event, Ranveer also shared how his connection with Atlee dates back several years. Speaking about the collab, he said, “I messaged him after the release of Mersal, saying, ‘Sir, I love your cinema. You should come to Mumbai and make movies with us.’ We’ve stayed close ever since. He’s a dear friend and an incredible creative force.”
Upcoming films
On the professional front, Ranveer is gearing up for his next big-screen outing, ‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar. The action thriller also stars Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.Deepika, on the other hand, also has ‘King’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan currently in production.
