The central government has announced early closure of government offices in view of the Republic Day Parade, At Home program and Beating the Retreat ceremony, among others. According to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry, some offices will be closed for full dress rehearsal on January 23 and a special program on January 28. In this order, a list of buildings whose offices will be closed prematurely is given.

Government offices like South Block, North Block, Vayu Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan and Shastri Bhawan will be closed from 6:30 pm on January 22 to 1 pm on January 23 for the full dress rehearsal to be held on January 23. Apart from this, Raksha Bhawan, National Stadium, Kashmir House, Sanchar Bhawan, National Media Centre, State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, Election Commission and Union Public Service Commission buildings will also remain closed at the same time. All these offices will be closed from 1 pm on January 25 to 1 pm on January 26.
Office timings for ‘At Home’ and Beating the Retreat ceremonies
According to the order, selected government offices will be closed from 1 pm on January 25 to 7:30 pm on January 28 for the At Home program. At the same time, for the special show of Beating the Retreat ceremony, South Block, North Block, Vayu Bhawan, Sena Bhawan, DRDO Bhawan, Rail Bhawan and Parliament House complex will be closed from 4 pm to 7.30 pm on January 28. Some government offices will be closed from 12 noon to 7:30 pm on January 29 for the Beating the Retreat ceremony.
